Objective
Accelerate Material Flow and Reduce Production Inventory
The project at the HELLA Autotechnik Nova plant in Mohelnice aimed to improve logistics efficiency, accelerate individual steps and reduce material inventory in production.
The target design therefore had to reflect actual operations and the requirements of the people involved in material flow.
Analysis
We Assessed Material Flow as One Connected System
As part of the logistics audit, we gathered operational requirements and mapped material flows and individual logistics steps.
The analysis focused on their dependencies, production inventory and the points where working practices affected flow speed and material turnover.
Target Design
The Analysis Led to a New Logistics Design
The findings became the basis for a target logistics concept. It described the changes required for smoother material flow and faster progression through individual steps.
The design connected operational requirements with the goal of reducing production inventory and increasing material turnover.
Deliverable
A Shared Basis for the Next Logistics Changes
The deliverable brought the audit findings, operational requirements and target design together in one proposal.
We then translated selected parts of the design into technical changes.
