Cloud and Infrastructure Management
Monthly preventive maintenance, monitoring, backups with restore tests. Take over existing infrastructure or long-term operations for Azure, AWS and self-hosted servers.
Challenges We Solve
When companies need cloud and infrastructure management
No Internal DevOps Team
You run a production system but lack the time and people for 24/7 monitoring, backups and security patches. Critical situations get handled ad-hoc, sometimes at night.
No Operations After Cloud Migration
Applications run in Azure or AWS, but no one systematically watches performance, costs, certificate expirations or backup success. Issues surface only when systems fail.
Crisis and Firefighting
Things break, outages repeat. Emergency service invoices grow. Documentation is incomplete, no one knows what changes where.
Our Solution
What we do for you
Monthly Preventive Maintenance
Regular environment checks, security review, updates, backups with restore tests. Always with a written report.
- OS and application security patches
- Backup restore tests (not just that backup runs)
- Configuration and certificate review
- Monthly report: what was done, what is coming
Monitoring and Alerts
Performance, availability, error rate and cost tracking. Alerts on incidents before users notice.
- Prometheus + Grafana dashboards for key metrics
- Alerts on CPU, memory, latency, error rate
- Cloud cost tracking and anomaly detection
- On-call response for critical incidents
Take Over Existing Infrastructure
Audit of current environment, documentation, gradual handover from previous vendor or internal team.
- Initial audit of configuration and security
- Architecture documentation and runbooks
- Gradual takeover plan without downtime
- Access management and knowledge transfer
Disaster Recovery and Continuity
Recovery plan after outage, tested procedure, defined RTO/RPO. So no one improvises during a crisis.
- RTO and RPO defined by application criticality
- Tested recovery procedure (not just a document)
- Geographically separated backups
- Regular drills and plan updates
IT Maintenance: Prevention Instead of Firefighting
Most critical outages are visible weeks in advance - missing database index, filling disk, expiring certificate, failing backup. Regular checks catch them in a planned window, not at 2 AM on a workday.
Monthly maintenance means we systematically look at your environment - not just react to alerts. OS security patches, database updates, backup verification including restore tests, configuration review. With a written report on what was done, what is coming and what we recommend.
Detailed breakdown of maintenance and monitoring is in our cloud and server management guide.
Take Over Infrastructure Without Downtime
Changing vendors or taking over an environment that no one has systematically maintained? It is not a one-time step. We start with an audit - what is there, what are the risks, what is undocumented. We document the architecture and runbooks for key scenarios.
Then gradual takeover: access, monitoring, operations. In parallel with the previous vendor until it is clear we have all aspects under control. Typically 4-8 weeks for full takeover, without production downtime.
After takeover we continue with monthly maintenance and monitoring. If you also need development or new projects, we connect this with our project team.
Operations Comes After Cloud Migration
Cloud migration is a project - moving applications, data, performance tuning. After production deployment, the second phase begins: long-term operations. Monitoring, cost optimization, security patches, disaster recovery - this does not end on go-live day.
Our specialty is connecting both phases. If we did the cloud migration, we seamlessly take over long-term operations - with environment knowledge, migration documentation and context on what was done why. The team that deployed it manages it further.
Reference: Helvetia runs on Azure 3+ years across 7 countries with zero critical outages. Regular maintenance, monitoring, gradual cost optimizations.
No Black Box
IT management vendors often work as a black box - client pays a monthly fee and has no idea what is actually happening. Something breaks, someone fixes it, no one writes why.
With us, every change is logged. Monthly report contains what was done, why, what is coming and what we recommend. Client sees changelog, alerts, configuration. If we decide to disappear tomorrow, you have complete documentation, runbooks and access - everything needed for anyone else to take over the system.
This is one reason our clients stay with us for years. It is not vendor lock-in, it is visible value.
How We Work
First, we understand your processes. Then we propose solutions.
Initial Audit
We walk through your environment, document what is there, identify risks and recommendations. Output is a written report.
Setup of Monitoring and Processes
We configure dashboards, alerts, maintenance frequency, runbooks. Agree on communication channels and SLA.
Monthly Operations
Regular maintenance, monitoring, on-call response. Monthly report on what was done, what is coming, what we recommend.
Quarterly Review
Quarterly trend review, cost optimization, change planning. Annual security and disaster recovery audit.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between initial audit and monthly maintenance?
The audit is a one-time walkthrough at the beginning - we identify what is there, where the risks are, what to fix. Monthly maintenance is regular care: updates, backups with tests, configuration review, monitoring. Audit is the entry point, maintenance is the long-term relationship.
How does taking over existing infrastructure from another vendor work?
We start with an audit, document architecture and runbooks. Gradually take over access, monitoring and operations. Without downtime, in parallel with the previous vendor. Typically 4-8 weeks for full takeover.
Do you cover on-premises servers too, or only cloud?
Cloud (Azure, AWS), hybrid environments and on-premises. Details in our cloud and server management guide.
How does communication and reporting work?
Monthly written report on what was done, what is coming and what we recommend. Slack or Teams channel for daily communication. Monitoring alerts go to a clearly defined channel. For critical incidents, one contact with on-call response.
What if we have our own DevOps team?
We can be a team extension - maintenance for specific areas, off-hours coverage, audit for fresh perspective. Or full outsourcing if internal team has moved on. You don't have to choose all or nothing.
How much does it cost?
Depends on three factors: environment size (servers, databases, applications), report scope (what you want monitored) and required response time (business hours vs 24/7 SLA). After initial audit we prepare a concrete proposal.
What about incidents outside SLA?
Depends on chosen tier. Maintenance is business hours. 24/7 SLA has on-call response with defined timing. For larger incidents we escalate to client and proceed by agreed runbooks.
